2017
The past year we committed ourselves to our mission statement. We had our annual Swap Meet bringing together bike enthusiasts and local riders. We sponsored our annual Blood Drive in Feb; collecting blood in Kathy Papasso's name to help others in need. We donated to the Taylor Madison Fund that helps a local child with a severe medical need. In August we had our annual crab run to feast on Jersey crabs, along with honoring Ernie Anderson. Ernie was one of our longest standing members who always made the crab runs even more special; hence we now have named our annual run "the Ernie Anderson Crab Run". In September we had a blast at our annual Summer Picnic with food, drink and some really fun bike games, and a few extra games to get everyone involved.
At our Winter Dinner we honored Mike Raymond with the "Hard Ass" award once again, for riding his antiques bike to more meetings and AMCA events than his commrades. Dave Mailhiot was the recipient of the "Member of the Year" Award for his dedication and service to the club.
We are now forging forward with the guise of our new President, Joe Harrington, to make this year even better. We are planning more small runs and gatherings to keep the spirit of the antique bikes alive and help educate those in the community about the machines of old and the sense of comradery among the members.
